Facebook鈥檚 is a great opportunity for you to share your story in a very visual way. This cheat sheet will help you set up your page and take advantage of Facebook's features to best promote your department.

  • Scales to: 36 x 36 px in the news feed, so keep it simple and legible

Size: 820 x 312 px
  • Should be representative of the department, fun, colorful, eye-catching
  • Can and should be changed periodically
  • Can also be uploaded as a video clip or slideshow
Cannot:
  • Display calls to action
  • Include contact information
  • Make references to Facebook

  • Share information relevant to your department
  • Publicize events your audience is interested in

PIN TO TOP

  • Click "Pin to Top of Page" to keep a post at the top of your Facebook page
  • Post will stay at the top until removed

Other Tips

  • Be sure to regularly check the page鈥檚 messages via the 鈥淚nbox鈥� tab at the top of the page in order to communicate with anyone who tries to contact your department. Prompt responses are encouraged since response rates are displayed on the main page.
  • You can use the 鈥淚nsights鈥� or 鈥淧ublishing Tools鈥� tabs to monitor post analytic data for your page.聽
