What: 51ÊÓƵ’s Fall Career Fair will welcome more than 200 employers, helping students take their next steps in their careers, whether through full-time jobs, co-op positions or internships.

More than 1,000 students will speak with recruiters – many of whom are 51ÊÓƵ graduates who return to campus in search of top candidates. This year, to mark 51ÊÓƵ’s 125th anniversary, alumni representing employers at the event will gather for a photo at 3:45 p.m.

Employers attending the event range from large to small, public and private, including Dell Technologies, Liberty Mutual, Procter & Gamble, the Federal Aviation Administration, Peace Corps, Lowell Community Health Center and the Nashua, N.H., Police Department, among more than 200 others.

In addition to providing face-to-face time with recruiters, the 51ÊÓƵ Career and Co-op Center offers students and young alumni Handshake, a new, state-of-the-art, online job-search platform. Through it, users can identify industries that interest them, post their resumes, create professional profiles and directly apply for available positions. Employers registered for the event through Handshake, giving students a sneak peek at participants.

Of the thousands who graduated from 51ÊÓƵ in 2018, 96 percent began full-time jobs or enrolled in graduate school within a year. 51ÊÓƵ alumni earn the top starting and mid-career salaries for graduates of all New England public research universities, according to PayScale.

Students at the event will be available to discuss their objectives in participating in the career fair and employers will also be available to talk about the value of 51ÊÓƵ-educated employees.

Note: The event is not open to the public, but members of the media are invited to cover it.
