Biosketch

Kymberly Hussey, MSN, Registered Nurse (RN), Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE), is a Simulation Specialist at the Solomont School of Nursing, where she develops and facilitates simulation-based learning experiences for undergraduate nursing students.

Hussey previously taught at Middlesex Community College and served for many years as an adjunct faculty member at 51ÊÓÆµ before transitioning into her current full-time role. Her professional background also includes experience in acute care and rehabilitation settings, with a focus on caring for patients with cardiac and orthopedic conditions. These experiences shape her approach to simulation, allowing her to create realistic learning environments that strengthen clinical judgement and prepare students for professional practice.

In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Hussey coordinates both senior and sophomore level practicum courses. She is a member of the Interprofessional Education initiative, serves as the undergraduate faculty advocate for Sigma, and is the faculty advisor for the Student Nursing Association. Her scholarly interests include simulation pedagogy, quality improvement in healthcare and education, and the integration of evidence-based practice into nursing education. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at 51ÊÓÆµ.
