Exceptional students from around the world who have demonstrated academic excellence, and who apply to one of 51ÊÓÆµâ€™s Master’s programs, may receive consideration for this merit-based scholarship.
Scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $5,000 and are provided for a total of four semesters (a maximum of $20,000) to students who pursue their studies full-time on campus. For students pursuing the 42-credit Master of Public Health degree, the award is available for up to five semesters (up to $25,000 total).
The Graduate International Excellence Scholarships were created to help students advance their knowledge, their careers, and the rich diversity of 51ÊÓÆµâ€™s student population.
Applicants must apply to 51ÊÓÆµ by one of the priority deadlines (see below) for either the Fall start term, or Spring, and pursue studies full-time on campus, in order to be considered.
Scholarship Requirements
Academic Criteria: To be considered for this scholarship, you must meet the academic standards required for acceptance into your program of interest.
Program of Study: You must be admitted into one of 51ÊÓÆµâ€™s Master’s degree programs.
Location: You must pursue your degree full-time by taking classes on campus at 51ÊÓÆµ or, at minimum, two on-campus and one online course each semester.
Tuition Residency: Applicants must be classified as international tuition residency per university and state guidelines. You must successfully pursue your degree program in F-1 student status sponsored by 51ÊÓÆµ. You will be required to take a full-time course load on campus or, at minimum, two on-campus and one online course each semester and maintain your valid F-1 status.
Nationality: Applicants must have an international residency.
Priority Application Deadlines:
- Fall Semester: Applicants who plan to start their programs in the fall semester are strongly encouraged to apply by January 15 of that year. Applicants who complete their applications prior to January 15 and receive admission in their master’s programs will be considered for this scholarship. Applicants applying after priority deadline will also be considered if there are scholarships still available to be awarded.
- Spring Semester: Applicants considering the spring semester shall submit their application by November 15 of the prior calendar year to be considered for the scholarship. Applicants applying after priority deadline will also be considered if there are scholarships still available to be awarded.
NOTE: Applicants who meet the scholarship eligibility requirements will automatically be given consideration to receive this award. There are no additional application requirements that need to be submitted.
Enrollment Confirmation: Students who are awarded this scholarship must submit their enrollment deposit within 21 days. If the deposit has not been submitted, the scholarship will be revoked and may be awarded to another applicant.
Awarding Guidelines: Students who receive other tuition based awards, such as National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), National Science Foundation (NSF), Fulbright Scholarships, Research or Teaching Assistant appointments, or other employee tuition benefits may only apply one of these award towards their tuition; in these circumstances, 51ÊÓÆµ will always apply the award that is most advantageous to the student.
