Description
This course introduces the principles, methodologies, and practical aspects of facilities planning and material handling. The curriculum includes product flow, space and activity relationships, personnel and material requirements, layout design, and the integration of receiving, shipping, and warehousing with manufacturing operations. The course covers facilities planning models, techniques for selecting and presenting facilities plans, and methods for implementing them.
