Description
This course provides a comprehensive overview of modern quality control principles, with a focus of Six Sigma methodology and statistical tools for process improvement. Students will learn to apply Statistical Quality Control (SQC) techniques, Design of Experiments (DOE), and Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools to assess, monitor, and improve the quality of processes. Emphasis will also be placed on risk assessment methods, control charts, and the development of effective sampling plans to ensure product and process compliance. Through case studies and practical applications, students will gain hands-on experience in problem-solving and continuous improvement frameworks that drive business efficiency and operational excellence.

MECH.2020 Manufacturing Laboratory, and MATH.3860 Probability and Statistics, and Anti-req: POMS.4040 Managerial Quality Control, Please note: Academic Petition required for all Anti-req exceptions.
