Yalda Night (Shabe Yalda)

Yalda Night, or Shab-e Yalda (The Night of the Forty), is one of the most ancient and cherished Iranian and Central Asian cultural celebrations, observed on the winter solstice; the longest and darkest night of the year. Historically, this festival symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness, the renewal of the sun, and the promise of longer days ahead. It is a time for togetherness, hope, and the reaffirmation of life and warmth during the cold season.
