The 51ÊÓƵ Concert Band, Conducted by Debra-Nicole Huber, brings together students from all colleges at UML. The ensemble performs a wide array of contemporary and traditional works for Concert Band, and will feature current composers for this concert. December brings hope, remembrance, and youth to mind. Our concert will feature the mutli-movement work Simple Gifts by Frank Ticheli, a collection of Shaker gift songs; send us dreaming with Richard Saucedo ’s Dreamsong and Eric Whitacre’s Seal Lullaby; and raise our spirits with Steven Reineke’s Where Eagles Soar and James Hosay’s Alliance of the Free. We recall the season with Naoya Wada’s Hope Glowing in the Sky, and Rossano Galante’s majestic Cathedral Mountain.
